I stood on the coppers podium in the Stretford End holding an inflatable skeleton with 'Shankly 81'written on it.

Makes Fellaini look like Milne more like.

Beardsmore's first goal for us. Another could-have-been.

Memory isn't so great for going back too many years, but Boxing Day 2012 wasn't a bad one.

3-2 at home to Everton Boxing Day 2003 was a humdinger. Billed as a battle of wonder kids between our Ronaldo and their Rooney.

Ronaldo was better and Rooney took Ronaldo out with a brutal tackle at one point.

Less than a year later Rooney had been one of the stars of an international tournament aged just 18 and scored a hatrick on his United and champions league debut and anyone that says that at that point 90 percent of United supporters and observers in general didn't think Rooney would ultimately be the better player is lying in my opinion or my memory has gone.

We looked down and out going into that, I think Newcastle had already chalked up at least a point mentally

I always think Coles finish looks weird, and his celebration even weirder

Is it just me or do Boro have a habit of beating us around this time of year?
