OK - YOUR England 2016 Euro team

Ok - what would be the main team you'd aim for at the next Euros.

This doesn't mean what team should play every game in the qualifying rounds, just the main 11 you would be aiming for.

No injuries etc. Who would you play?

Honestly think the 6 or 7 (ideally) United lads there will do well under LvG and we can form the nucleus of a decent side.

There has to be better options than jagielka, johnson, henderson etc.

I reckon as far as the spine of the team goes, Hart is good enough, cahill too, but needs a terry/rio with him(jones maybe?) centre mid is a big problem, wilshire/cleverly/henderson etc are no where near good enough. sterling could go either way, and sturridge/rooney should still be there or therabouts.

Im sure a few more might come through but you would be looking at 6 possibly 7 additions before they could be considered contenders.

Tbf they got 6 right.

Rio, 2Coles, Rooney, Gerrard and Owen probably would have been first XI if all fit back then.

Yeah - it's not great is it?

A Nicky Butt coming through now would win 100 caps. We really lack a good midfielder who can tackle, keep it simple etc.

Jesus, how many countries in Europe are there? Off the top of my head I can think of about 6 or 7, will be hard not to qualify.

FFS, the qualifying is going to be even duller than normal, and I did not think that was possible. France are hosts I believe so 9 groups, top 2 through, France qualifies as hosts, makes 19, the best third place team goes though, then the 8 other 3rd placed teams play off for the last 4 berths.
