England won't beat Costa Rica anyway, certainly not by two goals. The sad truth is our players are paid and lauded at the same level as the likes of Germany, the Netherlands, etc. but we're nowhere £#%&!ing near those teams. Which England players (of those who've actually played) would get in the Dutch team ffs? Maybe Rooney, if he'd been on an intense fitness regime for six months, was in his best ever form and the wind was right. That's about it. We're just gigantically average. We should have taken one of two approaches - either accept we're not that good and just try to be organised and sneak draws and maybe a win here and there, or simply play the kids and see what they can do. Instead we tried to play with our shit players, and got shown up.
