The thing is , if it wasn’t compared with the mens game as much as it is, you wouldn’t get tweets like this . If they let it go a bit more naturally you wouldn’t get people mocking it the first chance they get. It will just further polarise people .

A few weeks back they did the top three England goal scorers and I think third in the list is a striker from the womens teams. It’s a different ball game, stop comparing it to a level I it will never reach and try to promote what it is. Push the excitement of it, the competitiveness of it , the amazing stories that some of the players have gone through to reach the very top of their game.

stop trying to pretend it’s something that it’s not. Champion the recent win , inspire young girls and maybe over decades it grows to a better level . You can’t rush growth in an industry.
