Default Ed Woodward

Deserves his own thread imo.

Had a tough start last summer (mainly due to having dithering dave by his side) but plenty of positives

1. He is not gill (the slimy @#%&! can £#%&! off)
2. Sacked gollum
3. Signed Mata, looks like will seal the deal for shaw
4. Likes klopp

From what I hear, Woodward is far from the villain in all of this. Over summer, he had several transfer deals near finalised (one of which was Thiago), all of which, excluding Fellaini, Moyes decided to dissolve in the final stages through dithering. He's well liked at the club, by pretty much everyone on the board, and the players. He also wanted Moyes gone in January.

Don't need to say. Pretty much all of the Manchester journalists have been reporting as such, Ogden, Taylor, Custis, etc. It's no secret Woodward is well liked by the media, but the journalists reporting his good character during Moyes' reign are usually reliably unbiased. It confirms information I've heard from people associated with the club, too. FWIW, Woodward allowed himself to take the brunt of the impact for the failed transfer window, in order to deflect it from Moyes. I'd expect the attempts to cloud the public's perception via constant, usually contradictory, media briefings was a reaction to that on Woodward's behalf. A juvenile move, undoubtedly, but bot fundamentally misguided, and inexcusable. And, also, as has been accurately reported both on here, and by certain fanzines, Moyes was the impetus behind United's Glasnost policy. In hindsight, it honestly looks like he wanted the media on his side, because he knew he'd otherwise open himself to significant criticism during the season.

He's also the flaming @#%&! who guided the Glazers during the leveraged takeover of UTD, then after screwing UTD so well the Glazers gave him a job. He went onto screw money by licencing our 'brand' to any Tom Wang or Patel by whoring it out as far and wide as possible.

The biggest growth in what is now really a licencing model for the business of UTD, is to 'slice 'n' dice' the rights as much as possible. This can backfire.

The issue is he's been put in charge of production, which is a massive mistake. If you look at Marvel as a reference, their money comes from licencing toys and paraphanelia, not the movies. The licencing folk though don't £#%&! with the film makers, as it's these people that lay the golden egg.

All of this. Yhgr.

Woodward was centrally complicit in the abhorrent Glazer takeover, and is now leeching from the inside. He's about as pro-Glazer as it's possible to get, and it's worrying that such a non-football man has such an influence on footballing issues at the club.

regardless of the success that United have on the pitch, Woodward's main objective will always be to make the Glazers (and himself) as much money as possible by literally pimping out Manchester United. Some of the stuff he got up to last summer was embarrassing.

Delighted for Charles that this all worked out. Noticed a few jokers taking shots at his PR man recently, buzzing at the prospect of him being wrong. S2C young Blagger catch the whirlwind, just in the wrong thread at the wrong time.

Woodward's a disgrace.
