it's a fair point but at the same time pogba clearly was not ready for the 1st team if his league cup appearances were anything to go by - did okay at leeds, but then his form dropped iirc in the reserves. he came back in in the next round and was ordinary at aldershot and was piss poor when we crashed out to palace.

in the 2nd half of the season seem to remember he got on against bilbao and it just passed him by. got on in 3 games on the trot in march and did nothing, but he'd already decided to leave by then anyway the stupid little #@&%!.

It's all turning ugly this pre season, was optimistic early on but it's all turned to shit again 1 good signing, a full squad of duffers still on our books as seen against Dortmund. I fear the worst now

Latest from Saffers boy Di Marzio..

Quote:
Juventus has been one of the most active clubs on the transfer market, their next big acquisition will be Gomzalo Higuain. But the bianconeri could also have a big name leaving, Pogba is in fact moving closer to a return to Manchester United. In the last few hours there were contacts between the French midfielder's agent Mino Raiola and Juventus to try to cose the deal. The bianconeri are now looking on the market for his replacement.
