If they ever start giving out league points for beating three players and then producing £#%&! all then Welbz will be an absolute worldy and Madrid will buy him for eleventy million pounds nqat, but as long as we're stuck with the traditional putting the ball in the net scoring method his talents are stymied somewhat.

Well they certainly aren't giving out 3 points for the utterly shit, create £#%&! all £#%&!wittery of Rooney, Mata and RvP. Don't think they have beaten 3 players between them this season tbh.

You do realise that sometimes you require players to cause actual problems for the opposition defence, you know, stretch them a bit and that, and in time this pressure is exerted allowing other players space and the opportunity to fashion chances? And that quite often these players struggle with their final ball/decision making, especially in their youth, but these players are invaluable in the work try put in and space they create.

No. Of course you don't.

Once Van Gaal has got his system working, we are going to be playing a far more technical type of football than anything we've produced over the last 5 years. We will rely on technical players with a good first-touch, excellent link-up play and the ability to interchange and work in different areas of the pitch.

Hernandez is none of these things. He's a penalty-box poacher who plays on the shoulder of the last defender. That's all he offers. Tbf, even his finishing and movement have gone to shit over the last year, too. His 'performance' at MK Dons was disgraceful, which was disappointing as he's always come across as a decent professional.
summed up nicely.

provided some great moments though and will always think of him fondly. terrific bargain and very Likeable lad.

He deserves to go and do well somewhere else.

The idea that both you and Sparky seem to think that piece of play from start to finish and not that little bit at the end shows Welbeck is a really shit player is laughable

I wouldn't blow your load to early on some vague reports of Madrid wanting Hernandez
Would be absolutely shocked if this is true after his "performances" this season
'That little bit at the end' is the only bit that matters as far as the result of the game is concerned

You can cream yourself all day at long at his amazing athleticism and whatever else you love about 'welbz', but the fact remains he is inconsistent at best in front of goal which isn't good enough for United. Cheech's goals record laughs at welcrap's whether you like it or not.

No you don't, you need players to put the ball in the net. In every team sport that relies on the ball getting somewhere to decide the result from Rugby to American Football, the world over there's always somebody making an argument that a fast guy who can't perform the actual job of his position, is performing some function by just being fast and giving the opposition "something to worry about" and it's always horseshit.

I don't "love" Welbeck but I do rate him as a player

Can't understand why people compare Hernandez and Welbeck's scoring records given that prior to this season Welbeck played 3/4 of his games on the wing while Hernandez just plays in the penalty box as a goal poacher as that's all he can do
Stick Rooney or RvP on the wing for a season in our side of recent years and see how many goals they get

Rooney played all over the pitch when Ferguson signed RVP to play up top, he scored more than Welbeck.

And got more assists.

People compare their records because they're both strikers. OK, welcrap has got some 'do a job' games under frogson, but that is supposed to be his favoured position, and he's not very good at it.

The agent of Javier Hernandez is now in Madrid to negotiate a deal for him. Real and #mufc have reached an agreement. [Gazzetta dello Sport]

Ffs.

If only we sold him in 2011 when the bids would have been £35m+.

Madrid have one striker in the squad, the benefit of their transfer policy, sold Morata in the summer who was the back up, so scrambling around looking for an option.
