From hero to zero, to...

Thought he was ace when he came on today.

Form or inherent shit@#%&!ery?

Was good to see him being able to control a football today, couldn't believe how bad he was at times last season.

Hopefully he'll get some chances with Rooney out, and get some form going again. Be good if he could develop the skill of coming off the bench and getting up to pace with the game immediately like he did today.

He stretched them brilliantly and his touch was there.

always a hero in my book

he has his faults (not that great with his approach play, no real pace and gets caught offside too often) but we need to concentrate on his strengths to get the most out of him.

he's direct and always stretches the back four and coming off the bench he's a REAL alternative to the pedestrian nature of our attach at the moment.

Thumbs up

Played well when he came on. Limited player in some ways, but he's a proper goal scorer and his movement up front makes him a natural fit for Kaggers, RvP etc.

Great to bring on in games like today. Tronics- 'no real pace'?! He's a quick £#%&!er. That pace helped make the difference today, closing down, stretching their defence.

Not sure he'll be a starter for us whilst Van Persie and/or Rooney are fit though.

Neither Hernandez or Wellbeck are good enough to start in a team that'll win the title.

Pea's falling away in form last season was pretty shocking, tbh. If he gets his mojo back after a proper rest, that is a big boost for us

Wasnt that shocking pol, he was ravaged by injuries from September(A.Cole's thuggish challenge), had no pre season either.

Pre season behind him, if he stays fit he will be more important than W£lb£ck.

was it just me or did he look like he'd beefed up a bit when he came on yesterday?

Definitely looked like he'd been dropping some extra proteins on those Haz sandwiches.

People took for granted how vital he was in winning the league last year. Even last season with all his injury issues you could reel off 5 or 6 crucial goals he scored, mostly away from home. Big big asset to us if he can stay healthy.
