In 7th. Sack their manager and bring in Gianfranco Zola - win 2 in 22 games or something and give him a vote of confidence.

Good. Serves them right the £#%&!ing idiots.

As you were.

Merson should obviously be humanely destroyed, but the OP is correct - it was a strange decision and strange appointment. Football club owners, again

Regardless of who you manage, that is a great stat, to then come & manage £#%&!ing Hull & keep it going is ridiculous.

He'll be off somewhere else in the summer straight away.

He's even won a few home games. Imagine that.

"I sacked myself. I decided to give in my resignation," said Zola.

"I am sorry because I came to Birmingham with huge expectations. Unfortunately, the results have not been good and I take full responsibility.

"It is not that I like quitting, but Birmingham deserves better. If I feel I cannot help the players, why stay? If I cannot help the team, it is better I leave and let someone else do that.

"I feel very bad and very sorry. We worked with a lot of meaning, but unfortunately it didn't produce the results. It is all very disappointing."
Fair play to him - he obviously realised he was rubbish and couldn't look himself in the mirror.

What a stark contrast with certain payoff-chasing frauds who blame everyone and everything else.

Is it known if he actually called himself into a little room, had a sitdown and then handed himself a letter of resignation before wishing himself all the best and shaking his right hand with his left and escorting himself off the premises with a comforting arm around his shoulder?

Birmingham, the only club where the CEO sold her husband and the manager sacked himself
