Hopefully it rumbles on all summer, united bid 20m with two weeks of the window left - he throws a strop, hands in a transfer request and then we pull out of the deal.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the price tag because he'll almost certainly be on (relatively) low wages. So as a total package it wouldn't be as stupid as it looks.

There's something about him that I like and there's a chance he might become great for us. At least he's not a meek @#%&! like half of the team.

If he was 5 years younger it'd probably be worth the risk.

He'd offer us work rate and would probably fall in to automatically being the hardest on our team.

We need a world class attacking player which he isn't but he'd be another option in the squad.. Solskjaer, Sherringham, Yorke and Cole.............. Romelu Lukaku.

Hasn't he already said publicly through his agent that he's not interested in going anywhere to be squad filler?

I find it hard to believe we'd consider him as regular first team material given he struggled to make that level at Stoke and West Ham.

I have to admire the lads on here who are actively trying to talk themselves into believing that signing this @#%&! would be anything other than an utter embarrassment
