Usually i would like that result but we are just too far behind. Spurs winning is bad news for us. 3 points off 4th and my joke prediction of 10 wins in a row and still not in the top 4 is looking more and more likely.
If you mean 10 league wins in a row, that means we will have beaten both the Berts and Dippers - almost impossible for us NOT to be top 4 then, shurely?

I think I've explained myself quite clearly in the post.

That it has taken a lot of games to make up slightly over half the deficit

We still have to get in there. And we then have to stay there. It dictates a very small margin for error. We need to get above two teams too. We haven't got above one yet.

That's not negative, just the way it is. The standard is high.

We need good form AND a dip from above. At the moment, we have one of those.

Imagine how up for it Mou will be? Especially after the arrogant comments after the anfield game, how we parked the bus(despite dominating them in their gaff for an hour).

Really looking forward to the game, was more iffy about west ham away.

Again, why are referring to second? Fourth or top is key.

Your using Liverpool as the gauge. We need to consider the five teams above us. We need to get above two of them.

A six win run hasn't got us above any of them, despite us making progress on the deficit.

It's progress AND a reflection of how hard it will be to make up the deficit We created. And this is all with our form being literally perfect in mind

If we win all our games, and the teams above us lose all of theirs (or draw when playing each other), we will win the league at a canter.

IMO.

We will be be up for that one after last season. Leicester may be tricky if they have started to find some form by then.

we don't need a £#%&!ing dip. we've been slowly closing them down for weeks when everyone, including you over and over and over again, has been saying their form is as good as ours

we've taken 5pts out of the field all bar chelsea in the last month babe

Erm, yes we do. Because they have more points than us. Does hopeless optimism and awful maths go hand in hand?

I've answered all this twice now.

Both my posts are very clear.

We will see what's what come May

Seemed a much easier away these days than before, we just started losing there because we had moyes and lvg.

Fancy us to beat them, we just need to play our stuff.

That unfair point they stole off us at OT still grates.

But I guess a lot hinges on the liverpool result, good win there and we'll be flying, presuming we also beat reading and hull in the home cup games before the scousers, thats ten wins on the bounce

We've made up some, yes. I'm not saying we haven't. I'm pointing out how six wins, which is a lot, has got rid of (roughly) half of our deficit from the teams above us.

Therefore it's going to take something similar to get in there and again to stay there. Assuming the clubs maintain a similar standard (because you said we don't need a dip)

You're talking absolute gibberish

"We have to get in there....then we have to stay there"

We're not breaking into £#%&!ing Buckingham Palace.

Let me put it simply for you. Over the remaining 18 games, we have to take 4 points more than 2 of Arsenal, Spurs & City. Hardly a daunting task if you ask me.

You're pointing out

"Once we're there, we need to stay there"

As gibberish?

Really???

So we DON'T need to stay there? We can just fall out?

£#%&!ing hell

No. 4 points over 2 teams in 18 games isn't a lot, but we're currently on a great run off form JUST to get to that position? We will dip again. As everyone does. But, as chasers, we can't afford a dip. Chelsea's run was always going to end too, but they can afford it.

Understand mate?

I'm done for tonight.

You're all loons

only if you gave them 3pts and then took it off them again

actually since dec 1st we've taken 1pt out of them.

gotta be honest, i still see them as a bit flakey though.

on top of that i'm confident we can beat them at OT and would put money on them getting done at anfield as well
