....well, that's what I'd pick anyway.
Giggsy is nailed on to get a 'rest'
Can't see him risking young Cathcart...why take such a gamble if O'Shea's fit?

...I feel really nervous about this game for some reason. All logic would suggest a 'comfortable' 2 or 3 nill, but I'm not so sure.
Got a feeling we'll be sitting at 0-0 or a shock 0-1 as the hour mark ticks by - ala' Blackburn.
Just a case of what kind of tempo we start the match.

Sheff United won't be resting anyone...that's a smokescreen..a media myth.
They'll be fired up, especially that #@&%! Gillespie.

A couple of early goals tonight would be very welcome.

Broken collarbone, plus he's having the steel bolt in his neck replaced with a titanium one.

Thought it said on SkySportsNews this morning that O'Shea was fit & available?

Guess we'll find out later.
Nothing against Cathcart, it's just that I think tonight is such a crucial game.
The first League match since the Fratton Park £#%&!-up...the chance to put a bit of pressure on Chelsea 24hrs before they play.
I know it looks like a 'home banker'...but I've got that uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Cathcart at right back. Wes, Gabby and Super Patrice the other three.

Fletcher to be pushed into midfield at the expense of Giggsy.

Or you could leave Giggs in 'cos he's a far better player and you'd be putting Fletcher wide where he is truly appalling. Just a thought.

I'll be very surprised if Giggs and Scholes start the match tonight. He may even rest Rooney. He will underestimate Sheffield Utd. No question about that.

Exactly. With Richardson on the left, or Solskjaer on the right.

The other options are based on the fact we shouldn't really need 4 defenders for this particular match

I'd be a bit surprised if he makes many changes tbh, we have so many injuries at the back it'd make sense to keep your strength ahead of that. Also you can rest anyone you want if you get 3 up in 45.

Save some for the genuinely tricky games like Everton and City.

Well, Everton at least.

I remember Pique getting his chance at right back around this time last season against west ham, he had a great game.

Worrisome defence, but we should have the attacking power to counter it.

O'Shea must still be a worry for him to not start at RB. Strange to see VDS not playing, when Fergie plays Kuszczak it's normally a sign that he's not taking the game very seriously. The rest of the team is good though and should be good enough to win.

How many games do you have to play to pick up a medal? Maybe that's why he's playing Kuszczak? I heard on the news this morning that Smith can't play enough to get a medal.

heinze at centre half scares the shit out of me, as does fletch at right back.

the pole also doesn't give me much confidence.

but when all said and done what's ahead of that should be well capable of a result tonight
