Can't see this being anything other than a turgid game that could go either way.
Park will start. Would have been much more confident had Big Tony been playing on one side, Nani on the other.

Is Carrick injured?

He had a minor op and will be out for a few weeks yet.

O'Shea and Evans starting, Owen on the bench while Rio and Hernandez don't make it.

Does that please anyone? Apart from Liverpooll fans.

At least Ando on the bench.

Well at least GN isn't to be seen. Evans was one of our best players last term, hopefully he will come good today

Is Rio the latest "2 weeks" merchant??

Liverpool have been pretty awful everytime I've watched them.

However, i expect them to be organised and difficult to break down today. Torres has looked disinterested and sluggish, so i expect him to score.

Either way - we're much better than them and should win this. But then what do i know?
