Tbf, there's a slight difference between being honest about the trends for the season and saying the manager should be sacked on the spot. I think people felt the change would come, but no one could have known the exact moment. Things change.

Prior to the Spurs game, I didn't think we would make top four either.

Not exactly what I meant. Partially right.

I don't think there is a single second of any season where he is not mugging for the cameras. Struggling to think of a more self absorbed person. Ronaldo maybe, or Marlo.

i hope you haven't forgotten that.

when deployed properly you've seen the squad is not as 'shit' and it has been suggested when trying to justify van gals mis management of it.

mata and herrara are two of our best players and were left on the bench while adnan and rvp stunk up the place.
a cynic would say that its a injury to the teachers pet that has helped us start playing good football.
Herrera is playing a better, more intelligent game now than he was earlier in the season. When not getting smashed off Mahou, he alludes to this himself in interviews about van Gaal's coaching. And Mata has had chances this season, but hasn't done particularly well until recently, as LvG has found a position for him which, aided by Herrera's more tactically refined role, gets the best out of him.

Good management, all in all. Making players better and developing a team over individuals. The stuff of Dutch Sage

Not at all, he's merely been blind to what he should've been doing all along and has stumbled into it fortuitously and the players are doing what they would've done anyway had he played them

When did that happen? When did he go from Hugo Boss to Sports Direct?

What cataclysm in Mourinho's life led to this sartorial holocaust?

Pretty sure he had the flu that day. Dragged himself out of his sick bed to destroy Liverpools title hopes and then went home

Maybe when Ferguson went to see him over the United job he was sat outside on a wall sipping 20/20 in his puffa jacket and tracksuit bottoms tucked in his white socks?

Madrid broke him. First time he had players who thought he was a @#%&!. Now he's a paranoid mess.

there was no point taking herrera out to learn the pattern only to stick him back in before he'd done it just because we were stinking the place out by-passing a midfield with rooney in it and carrick not.

LVG has had to deal with results pressure while teaching this lot his ways and he's just about pulled it off

people questioning why rooney was in midfield as if LVG was doing it for any other reason than his physical attributes, work rate and attitude ffs - we had to get results and we did. as fergie said, when LVG gets the players back and up to speed just watch what happens

With Herrera, I suspect a lot of it was about his reactions on the training ground. They do so much detailed, specific training for each match and I guess only when Herrera was showing signs of catching on did he come back in. Even if he then didn't show it immediately in matches, LvG would have been happy that he was seeing signs in training. Also yeah, others were being a bit shit
