In 76 now this is true

Default When the teams come out the tunnel - Should the tannoy stop?

Should the Old Trafford Crowd build the atmopshere when the teams emerge from the tunnel, rather than being blasted out by the tannoy?
For an example see this clip.

The tannoy is designed to get louder as the crowd gets louder, its a feature to ensure safety messages are heard, but it acts against fans wanting to get behind the team.

SEF have put this to Utd, asking that the fans be allowed to create the noise for the bigger home games. Utd will put it to the fans forum.

On a related note, I don't like the orchestrated way the Premier League has the teams walk out together. You want to cheer your side and boo/whistle the other, and you can't do both at once. The away side should come out first, then the home side.

What has an organisation that makes flags got to do with the atmos?

TBH fair they're too busy eating their pies and being JCL's to make any noise anyway.

Why not get some recordings of Marlo Beat boxing some stone roses track or something - that'll get em going.

Im sure for a game this season, or it might of been the back end of last season, someone forgot to put the music on and the atmosphere started off quality. Then obviously they remembered ,put the music on and killed it completely.

I suppose that would depend on Anderson being on the bench

why do we need a public address system for anything other than emergencies, anyway? pre match tunes and half time entertainment is all that is needed.

no need to announce the teams either, instead of handing out cheesie mosaque
cards just put the team sheet on each seat.

i hate that cheering after each name is announced.

don't get me started on the champions league tune.

oh, and whilst you are on, have a word with whoever is in charge of marketing and tell them about my idea of texting messages to the advertising hordings or even the score boards during the match.

i don't expect any credit when it goes global. well i do but i wont get it.

anyway, turn the speaker off is my view imo
