they've won £#%&! all and haven't won the FA Cup either

point is that Arsenal are not "the acid test" of anything, especially not at this stage of the season

Ok, maybe they're no 'acid test', but you'd have to say they're gonna be the first truly decent team we face this season, and definitely a step-up from Brum, Burnley and Wigan, especially after the start they've had (admitadly against teams who evidently couldn't give a flying fudge)

true, but they haven't played anyone as good as United yet either

no doubt the usual £#%&!ers who post on here will be banging their gay arsenal drums all week though

just getting my retaliation in first

He did the same thing last season.

Played well away to teams we should really beat.

Its when we come against the top teams that he let's himself down.

And suddenly all those tricks and flicks seem pointless when he not scoring or impacting the game.

And for 30odd million he SHOULD be having more games like he did today tbh.

Let's hope it continues.

Fair enough, but they are the best team since Hungary c53, so you can't really argue with that.

What was good about today was that the (undeserved, if we're being honest) goal-fest late on will get the players confidence up and they'll start believing in themselves agin, which I think was lacking in the first two games

Failing that, just shoulderr-barge Fabregas early on- he'll start crying, Wenger will say we're 'bullying' them, and we win 2-0, either way's good for me

he was anonymous in the first half, played well the second half, still a shadow of the quality of Rooney. For 31mill he should be ripping teams like wigan apart. We will see against Arsenal if he turns up, but his problem is that he is too slow and holds the play up far too often.

not really true at all

ignoring some of his excellent contributions against the lesser lights...

he did fine at chelsea this time last season and also in the win at City

his best form was between xmas and early march, where he was very effective as well as classy, a run that included home to chelsea and the inter away game, arguably the best football match united played last season

he also did well at the end of the season in games at Porto and at home to City and Spurs. his sub appearances in the CL semi were very professional too - no sign of girly hairband strops, just got on with it and did as the manager asked of him.

So when he put Evra in to cross for the Fletcher chance he wasn't really there?

And when he flicked it on to Scholes, which he blazed over, he didn't really do that?

etc etc etc

And also when he went through on the keeper but Bramble made a great tackle

Fletcher, Nani and Vidic were the best players throughout the game.

First half Rooney was one of Wigan's best defenders the way he was breaking up United attacks. Much, much better in the 2nd half and deservedly bagged.
Made up Owen scored. Monkey off his back, easily get 15 this season
