Tevez is a great player but hes the same as Rooney just not as good.

He's a similar type of player to Rooney, both strong, quick, skillful, good goalscorers and creators and can play off a striker, wide in a 3 or up front. Obviously United could find no role for such a versatile and quality forward, waste of money.

A striker who can play higher up the field is needed more than another of a type we already have. Hes obviously a good player. Hes not as good as Rooney.
