Worth it for the headlines when Angel Gomes and De Ligt both score.
Jones and Smalling will still be at OT next season and didn’t they just give Rojo a new deal?

We are begging choosers.

We have no right even complain about the defenders we buy.....JUST BUY 4 OF THE £#%&!ERS.

Entire new defence needed, including bailly because he's a cripple ( keep him but he can't be relied upon as a starter. )

Top quality across the whole line, Alderweireld, Alex Sandro and Bellerin.

2 midfielders aswell.

United arguably need an experienced CB and a younger one. Think Castles wrote about a younger CB the club were looking at.

Couldn't care less if any of the 4/5 CBs currently at the club are moved on. They all have their faults. As for Bailly, I realise folk like his blood and thunder approach but he seems to be made of glass atm and cannot get the run of games he needs to develop. At times plays like an empty packet of crisps dancing in the wind!

In terms of Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe, how have both done on loan? Latter seems to have been injured a lot and in one paper last week it was said he was staying at Villa for another 12months.

The Villa move was a strange one, as they have Chester and Terry at centre back. So his chances have been limited to the odd appearance at right back, where unsurprisngly he hasn't impressed a great deal. Needs a loan next year to a team where he will be playing every week. Villa for another 12 months would appear to be a poor choice.

Nothing wrong with the Cb’s we already have. Smalling has been excellent & we have Bailey, Jones, Lindelof ,Rojo & Tuanzebe.
Other areas far more in need of upgrades. Herrera won’t re-sign & Carrick is gone. That’s at least one , probably 2 quality midfielders needed plus 2 FB’s & a right winger

Goes to ground far too often, really needs an experienced head next to him. He's a late developer, hasn't even played 100 league games in his career yet & he's 24, Lukaku is the same age & is nearly hitting 300 league games alone.

It was that out of the blue I wondered if it was probably one of the more credible links!! As said a younger CB and one more experienced would be fine but latter is a priority IMO, that and two new full backs.

This

even if all of our CBs have flaws one way or another I don't think any other pl team have anything above what we have.
