Can't see him wanting to give up the opportunity to walk out at the best stadium in the world in August

Is he the one that looks like a suave Nazi or is that the other one of theirs?

I know. Should’ve bought a proven 29 year old instead of Ronaldo and left Rooney where he was until he was 28 ffs. Signing Ferdinand at 22 as well needed to stay put for at least another 5 years.

Yeah, we were better then.

Also, Rio was a proven premiership defender. Not a teenager.

You're looking towards a future without Mourinho, I get it.

I’m just looking at the future pal. If we’re spending £50m on a player which would I rather it be?

Alderweireld was quality for Southampton and Spurs, then missed a large period through injury and lost his place to a teenager and barely played for 12 months. Hardly the rock we’re looking for.

Ferdinand had just been named in the PFA Team of the year and had been one of England's best players at the World Cup. A slight difference me thinks.

bedding in an up and coming winger or forward ( Ronaldo, Rooney ) is much easier and less of a gamble than throwing an 18yr Dutch kid into the center of defence and hoping he is does not £#%&! up........

We have good youngsters already. Toby provides experience, which we sorely need at the back. 50 million is a large wedge though... pity Levi isn't the negotiating type

If we're dumping a couple no harm in buying both. Toby and Bailly first choice. Lindelof and De Ligt backup alongside Axel and Timmeh.

Worth it for the headlines when Angel Gomes and De Ligt both score.
