Default Re: Keane's dressing room alienation has stifled his managerial career

He was once a pundit on one of our games. He said he'd never do it again because he hated it. And hated Richard Keys.

I think these stories all make for funny reading and we can sit here and say 'Oh Keano' because he was great for us and we look back fondly.....but in terms of managing a team, my God they make him look a totally unreasonable #@&%! who will never get anywhere unless he changes. That style will only get you so far. Problem is, he doesn't strike me as someone who is fair either. He's tough, but he's also £#%&!in weird and immature.

A little too old fashioned in his approach. Would've been better in Cloughie's era. I think he's cut more from that cloth than Fergie, tbh.

Love him as a player, I've met him and he's a decent guy, love his views on things, but as a manager he has a long way to go.
He has to be far more sympathetic as a manager because you can't have a team full of nutcases who thrive off the atmosphere he creates.
Such a concept intrigues me. A team full of nutcases would be worth paying money to watch.

I'll have a stab at a few positions.

GK - Rene Higuita

Up front, Big Dunc and Edmundo.

In the hole, Paulo DiCanio.

Out wide, Tino Asprilla.

Free role, Maradonna.

Shaping up quite nicely so far. I think I'd like Keegan to manage.

Got to be Big Dunc and Mick Harford up front.

Keane just isnt suited to management, not these days. He does belong in the 70's it seems. Even SAF has toned the 'hairdryer' down in recent times.

Paolo Montero at CB, alongside the Italian chap, played for Torino, got sent off about every 3 games, Pasquale Bruno, I think, maybe wrong...
