Well he can't play those first teamers if he wants to play the type of game he did at Swansea. £#%&!in' ell, Gerrard, Carroll, Henderson and Bucky Adam trying to play like that, it's £#%&!ing comical

Liverpool are a absolute joke these days, good grief.

wasn't given time there. As i said earlier they simply don't have the players to play the Swansea way and will need a total overhaul. Will go backwards before they can even start thinking about going forwards - biggest question is whether owners and supporters will be patient. Doubt it in the current climate.

The swansea system was built by martinez, who liverpool ironically held extensive talks with.

If they were gonna take a risk on a young up and comer based in PL, that was the way to go. But they couldnt even get that right.

Becoming obvious that these guys are even bigger buffoons than the previous owners. Says it all that 18 months in, they still dont have a proper chief executive. No wonder they appoint clowns like Comolli who spends £110m on a racist and some british clowns.

FSG ffs

His missus is mint though, ill give him that. #youthpolicy #golddiggingcow

If he wants to do a "swansea" on the dippers, maybe he should've waited for Martinez to build the foundations for him like at Swansea?

Martinez was their first choice but he £#%&!ed them off......Lambert would have been a better choice than Rodgers

So a young manager can't learn from his experience and improve?

Don't think there's any doubt he's one of the most promising young managers about but he is walking into a shambles there, he'll have to be £#%&!ing good very quickly not to sink without trace.

its definitely a huge challenge for him, he needs time and if he gets it he will do very well.

Martin O Neill would have been the best bet for them - he'd have got more out of the players they have now. Rodgers has got to come in and try and get instant results with a squad assembled best suited to follow KKK's Blackburn '95 blueprint

He needs time yes but money too and I'm not sure that's gonna be forthcoming enough to rebuild the mess that KKK bought.

Yup and every year they are without CL football, the harder it is to compete with clubs that are getting it regularly, particularly with their limited income from that shithole stadium. 3 more years and it'll take an siddyesque Arab cash injection to do anything.

Surprised they didn't even try to approach him, tbh - even if he almost certainly wouldn't have left Sunderland anyway.

Love the total about turn from Liverpool fans after he took the job on.

Last week they were all saying he'd not even been offered the job and they didn't want him, he wasn't a big enough name anyway - glad he never came in.

Now:

"Great choice. We've got the man we wanted all along"
