Is The Damned United as good as people say? Ive a mate sending me a copy as soon as hes read it. Read all the others...brilliant Orange is top, but the same fella wrote one called 'Those Feet' and it was shite.

I enjoyed The Damned United very much and can highly recommend it.
Peace also wrote a great book about the miners strike if you fancy a change of scene.
The Imlach book should not be overlooked - it makes you think a bit about some of the present day mercenaries in the prem. and there's some great stuff about the babes.
Enjoy

Both excellent. I'd also recommend:

Ajax, The Dutch, The War
Dynamo: Defending The Honour of Kiev
A Strange Kind Of Glory
Morbo

If you've read Jimmy Burns Barca, give White Storm by Phil Ball a try.

Read "The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw" by Paul McGuigan (ex-Oasis) & Paolo Hewitt

It's by no means a a work of literary genius, but the life of Robin Friday, a former player with Reading & Cardiff, is well worth checking out

Check out Skag Trendy's avatar - that's Robin flicking the v's at the keeper after scoring a goal
