Oh yes, what a game. Ronaldo's celebration of that first goal he scored was brilliant.

When he dumped Cole on his backside at OT the previous season as mentioned was great, that clip always seems to crop up in various Ronaldo complilations.

Roma at home in 06/07 stands out for me. Fulham away 06/07 aswell.

There were numerous things in that game that were classic.

Rooney winding up Pires, one instance

When he went in the big brother house instead of playing in the euros.

CL final goal or his display against City last year.

I actually though he was better in the away leg. The way he led the attack after Scholes was sent off showed great maturity and an obvious improvement on his performance in Benfica the season before. Wonderful run to tear open the Roma defense before Wayne's brilliant equalizer. Think we had a period after that where he'd beat 2 or 3 players every time he ran at them.

i'd have to say his debut against bolton was a great moment. I haven't seen old trafford buzz off a debut like that in years.

Yes, i know rooney's debut was great - but we EXPECTED it to be. We knew what rooney was about. He came in amongst great hype after euro 2004. Ronaldo was a bit out of the blue, most people in Old trafford had never seen him play before and there was a real buzz everytime he got the ball.

Watched in on dodgy satellite tv station on a stag do in Dublin. They had soccer saturday piped in through the speakers.

I'll never forget Rodney Marsh on Soccer Saturday - "Wow Jeff! How good is this kid gonna be?!"
