why would any referee be looking for "an opportunity" to give a penalty against united, especially in a cup semi final

The trouble is the referee didn't actually give it for the shirt-pulling. The commentators saw it there on the replay, but he gave it for a non-existent foul.

The shirt-pulling is annoying though as it does make us vulnerable.

you would only expect a free kick to be given if the player whose shirt is being grabbed is being impeded.

on the other hand, you might expect a penalty if a player is pushed over in the act of shooting.

moss is a @#%&!. but if he gets demoted, it's not like we'll get a ref who isn't a @#%&!.

Because they are @#%&!s? we've had 2 handballs like the one Pogba produced against the dippers go against us this season and got £#%&! all, they couldn't wait to give it against us. Standard.

We can't give them even the slightest excuse.

Stupid. They need to cut it out but is there a cb that doesn't do it? Rarely get pulled for it though, do They?

As Andre Marriner said of the match vs Arse, where yet another stonewaller was ignored: "I don't want to be man of the match. I don't want to be noticed". They're all shitscared of being given the third degree on telly when a decision benefits us. It's a problem.

united should just carry on challenging normally, and if the ref chooses to penalise then so what.

tired of all this 'giving the ref an excuse' shite tbh. they're bent. or cowards. or both. and the media is complicit basically because without united they'd be a lot worse off by every measure used to judge them. they know they have a captive audience of united fans. so they get round it by using us and slagging us off at the same time.

ignore the refs. ignore the hype. just get on with it and hurt them by winning - in this case we're going to wembley again

It was a foul. Refs don't usually give them but they should.

Zlatan's goal at West Ham was offside. Ref didn't give it but he should.

We lost last night because we were shite.

As for ours the shove on Smalling was ridiculous but he probably didn't help things. He over-reacted so much that the ref must've thought there couldn't have been much in it if he needed such amateur dramatics.
there's was never a penalty ...ours was a clear penalty and how the £#%&! did we 'ask for it'

that's something like ELEVEN ..yep 11 clear pens we haven't been given this season, it's £#%&!ing ridiculous
