Default Arteta?

Apparently us and Arsenal are after him because he can't agree a new contract with Everton.

Good enough? Too injury prone? I personally think he's a top player. If he can keep himself fit he'd be good enough. At 28 he's a good age.

Wouldn't spend more than £15m though due to his injury record.

I reckon we could get him for around £10m and he'd be a cracking signing, holds the ball, keeps play ticking over, creates and scores goals.

Sign him up

good player for everton, but i think hes found his level there. not sure hed stand out for us. if its 7.5M or less then yes, but i dont want to add more to the debt-mountain for a slightly above-average injury prone 28 year old.

I wouldn't be overly dissapointed if we brought in one of those 2 or Arteta...as long as we also brought in a decent striker to replace Berbatov & take a burden off Rooney's shoulders.

My ideal (& borderline realistic) purchases this summer would be:

Rodwell
A left sided attacking player - not sure who??? - Silva??
Benzema

...but back in the real world we won't be buying anyone let's be honest.

Silva wasn't a proper winger even when he was played wide but nowadays he plays more centrally linking midfield and attack, the perfect player for us if we want someone to dictate the pace of games in our 433. Him and Modric have been linked heavily.

Save some money and get Tosic back from his loan as a player to fill in the left footed winger position in the squad.

I'd also like to see Tosic back. I've watched him a couple of times playing for Köln and he looked great. I know that the German league isn't really a good barometer but he's got to be worth a chance. We certainly haven't give him one yet.

Agreed, dunno what thy £#%&! the problem is here. We're crying out for a left winger.
