£#%&! sake.

Can't really wallow, the great man has given magnificent service, far longer than most can ever hope to achieve in a career & it's been an absolute privilege to have seen it all over the years. As spectacular as he can be, the simplicity with which he played the game will always stick, so much time, so much space, his class on & off the field endures & I'm delighted he's staying in some capacity.

Love the bloke.

Even how he's bowed out is total class.

Left the announcement until after the parade. Probably didn't want the fuss. I'd imagine he'd even be embarassed when it's his birthday and you sing "Happy Birthday" to him. "Give over"

Wish him and his family all the best. A total class act from start to finish.

EDIT: May actually go and buy my first shirt in 30 years or so with his name on the back.. whilst I still can !

The ginger prince - what a legend, gutted to see him go, although think it was the right time for him to hang up his boots.

A player i've grown up with and watched since the start of his career at united, one of my utd heroes, simply irreplaceable

Thank you Scholesy!

When asked by Red News if he’d ever considered playing abroad for another club:

Quote:
No, I've never thought about it, there's nowhere better to play I don't think than here. I can't say it wouldn't have been better for another team because I've never done it. It's already the best club in the world.
