I would imagine the bants is pretty awful tbf but that won't stop them trying. Nabbing eachother's hats and posing for hilarious photos kind of bants.

great news

only Throb is the only person to have ever praised him, so none of us can join in with this I'm afraid.

I'll still say he's good whilst playing LW. When he starts in midfield, I regularly shit myself.

you want to get that looked at aman. Bear in mind he played central midfield last weekend.

He's good for about a month a season at this age. SAF will overplay that hand though, don't worry about that.

Last match was an exception, his previous matches playing in the midfield were abominable.

Still, love the man, and I hope he plays at LW when he does.

Great news!

Not sure about some of the shit he (and indeed Scholes) get on here because of their age.

If there still doing the business their age is irrelevant!

As much as ive enjoyed Giggsehs performances since November, truth is that I was secretly hoping he and Scholesy would retire with dignity after a double/treble triumph this season.

You don't want him to retire next season after a bad year for the team and him clearly finished legs wise...

Don't mind really. He's earned the right to pick his time. He's got the sense to relais when the game's up I reckon.

and lets be honest here. Young and Valencia aren't fit to lace giggs shoes even when we compare them to current giggs

Arguably, he's equal to Sir Bobby.

This, he's a club legend, i wouldn't mind him being a coach with the under with the under 21's when he retires.

Sure there's a paragraph in JW "are you watching ysb?" where its joked about him playing his 1000th game? Not been able to find even using index and is OCDingly doing my head in. Have rep signed off ready for despatch if anyone's game...

With it now looking very likely Scholes will retire (permanently this time) come the summer, he really is going to be the last of an era

from the daniel taylor piece on giggs in the guardian:

The next deal will take Giggs beyond 40 and, to put it into context, if George Best had had the same kind of longevity he would have played for Ron Atkinson in the 1985 FA Cup final and, best of all, still been at the club when Ferguson took over the following year.
