How can there still be no benefit to the attacker? The accuracy of the lines (when drawn correctly) isn't 100% accurate, they can't be. So when it's as tight as that decision was, the benefit has to go to the attacker. We're talking about milometers ffs.

Poll just said it's a yes or no decision

So pretty much every goal that has a throughball will go to var as a linesman will take no responsibility at raising their flag just in case they get it wrong. Which will slow the game down massively and fans will naturally be wary of celebrating goals which will make the atmosphere worse.

Overall var is utter shite should probably only be used for dangerous tackles.

Is what it is...

Good result, much better performance in the 2nd half, not for the first time this season Martial has looked better coming off the bench in the 2nd half..

As frustrating as it is, happy to see him next season and go from there.
At the moment, the football ain't pretty and the way our counter attacks break down is f***ing soul destroying to see, he's done enough for me, to see how it goes

Mou has had a nice habit throughout his career of getting decent draws in cup competitions. Hope that continues, used to piss me off that Chelsea constantly picked up cups through cakewalk draws even in their down years.

I don't expect or think we can win the CL, but a decent draw and the top teams being paired up and the SF could be on. Small margins at that point, even Moyes's team had the chances against Bayern to surprise us.

It’s not just the lines, the footage to me never looks capable of capturing the exact moment the ball leaves the players foot, there’s a bit of interpretation involved there too.

Very true. It's impossible to be 100% certain when it's that close, so the benefit has to go to the attacker.

Huddersfield away & that was probably the most defensive team selection of the season. 3 basically defensive midfielders.

Typical Mourinho away performance. Shite to watch but never really looked like losing
Bit of an outdated way of thinking

You’re going to struggle to build from the back with Smalling there

There’s a reason all the top sides have players in every position who are comfortable on the ball

They’re trying to cop out by showing that still. The correct still is a couple of frames forward when the ball actually leaves Young’s foot, because that’s when the pass has been played. They won’t show that one though because the Huddersfield player’s running leg is higher and Mata is clearly onside.

Linesman right, VAR wrong. What a £#%&! up.
