I did find it odd that hed be brought on against Sunderland then completely omitted from the squad to face Stoke.

Also seems out of character based on how the guy comes accross but ah well. Its not like he'd be missed now is it?

The France full-back, 28, is believed to want a new challenge.

Evra's close ex-United pal Cristiano Ronaldo has recommended him to Real.

Since his £7m move from Monaco 4½-years ago, Evra has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the world.

A sale would give United a serious profit on a player whose value will plummet next summer with only a year left on his contract.

yup. and therein lies the problem of modern era professional football against the sport of the international game. How many millions were spent on Cougreaves in transfer fees, wages, operation, rehabiltation costs ? For Fergie to then give him two or three matches at the end of the season, and risk all that investment by him going to the world cup and £#%&!ing himself up, makes no sense at all. Sad for the player, really, but it is, what it is...business.
