Bit of a big difference between £35m and €30m. They really haven't got a clue.

Yep. May as well just do what shitty did on the arrival of the current owners, just draw up a list of players and send offers of £5-10m less than you think they are worth to their clubs and see what happens. IF they don't all get rejected, don't answer the phone for a few days. Hopefully, word that the club in question is in fact willing to sell will reach the ears of proper clubs who will get in there and get the player bought without United having to embarrass themselves further by finding a convenient excuse not to pursue the deal.

£#%&!ing £#%&!ers.

nailed it.

This is a face saving exercise & nothing more.
Bayern swat us to one side & take our main summer target away so we suddenly decide to bid £30+mill for a player in his late twenties ...as if they're going to let another midfielder leave ffs
Embarrassing.

"We tried to get Thiago & Fabregas so clearly the money is there" :shakehead:

Loving the idea that of two talented midfielders at Barca we've really only been interested in the older, more expensive, unobtainable one.

Utterly disgusting behaviour from United. They know full well that Barca won't sell him, but are putting up a front after the Thiago balls up.

Instead of these constant £#%&!ing PR exercises, why don't they get their shit together and start acting like a football club.

I backed the Moyes appointment, but it's looking more and more like that he's been seen as a yes man whilst Woodward and the Glazers bleed us dry.

£#%&!ing shite,
We may have been third choice all along...maybe nothing at all to do with money but his personal preferences as advised by his influential agent.

It's all media bullshit there will be maybe a dozen people who know the full extent of the story tossers on the Mail/Sun etc aren't in that bunch..

Only United could put in a £30m bid for a worldy midfielder and still act like @#%&!s by doing as such.

It's so obvious.

Briefing the press again with a bid we know will fail, just like we did with the Baines bid which we knew was below the valuation.

State of these @#%&!s running the place.

He isn't a 'worldy' he's very good though. And the reason they are @#%&!s is that they know it won't be accepted and that Barca don't want to sell and he doesn't want to move. And, even if Barca did, Arsenal will be there to pick up the pieces. It's a cowardly £#%&!ing move, and the intention behind it from United is clear from the fact that news of the 'bid' has been 'leaked'. If the interest was genuine they'd be saying £#%&! all.

£#%&!ing %@#$&!s.

I don't believe in publicity stunt bids, we're not City of 2008 and 2009.

If the bid is genuine then Fabregas has given the OK. Chances are the bid isn't genuine, not cos of us lacking cash but I doubt Fabregas is gonna give up his hometown dream only 2 years after arriving, considering how hard he fought for the move(gave up wages, refused to train at arsenal etc).

Haven't you lot already gone through this routine for Fabregas once this summer?

The Thiago thread will actually look clued up by the time you've finished in here, no doubt

quite right we're not, we're Manchester United of 2013. The same United that has played along with the Ronaldo pantomime.

Absolutely.
If it was a genuine bid they'd be keeping it behind closed doors - "we don't talk about players at other Clubs" ..suddenly, 24hrs after being humiliated by Bayern they're publicly slapping down a £30mill bid for Fabregas:shakehead:

£#%&!ing bullshit.

That we didn't want to pay an extra £6m for Thiago is utter BS. His old coach came in for him, at Bayern, his agent being the brother of his old coach. Cards well and truly stacked against you.

Are people really pushing the 'glazers are tight' shit again, thats way more embarrassing than just admitting we got snubbed...
