The only reason we signed those two players is because they were coming to the end of their contracts; only wanted to deal with United so we could come in and low-ball their clubs, without the threat of an auction. Getting them both on the cheap.

That won't be happening again.

Martinez wouldn't get into our starting XI at the moment, HTH. Good player, but not quite on Carrick's level yet, and a long way off Busquets.

Schweinsteiger on the other hand...

Then again, we could have signed Schweini when we bought Hargreaves. Easy saying that now with hindsight proving Hargreaves was a perma-crock and a #@&%! to boot.

Ah right. So this summer will be all about phantom bids knowing we wont get the player?

Probably can tbh.

He used to play Aussie Rules so he'd at least be a dirty clogging bastard if nothing else.

Good to see you're keeping up.

You know the mantra, we've been there before.

This zaha, plus probably some modest player from a mediocre club, some south american/latino punt job and some bullshit about how fletcher's 'like a new signing'.

New 2 year contract for scholes.

Think your mob's in for a similar beating to Barcelona in the back to back Ashes series.

Nobody thought he was a central midfielder until van Gaal put him there. A masterstroke tbh.

I would love it if dortmund win the final. bayern can £#%&! off. @#%&!s.

barca will be back next year. a couple of centre backs and a good striker (neymar?) and they will be again the team to beat.

not going to happen. I was hoping for more yellow cards for bayern tonight. I hope dortmund don't include Goetze in the squad. (in fact supposedly he's out with a hamstring for the rest of the season - anyone see him do that?)
