My biggest hero as a kid. Met him when I was 13 and got him to sign my cast after I broke my arm, which none of my mates believed was real

Also got him to sign a picture of him I drew, which he described as 'pretty good'

Always found it a shame he's never spoken particularly fondly of United. He didn't seem to like us that much to be honest
I think he was really pissed off at how he was ruthlessly binned in 1995.

But what a player. I was obsessed with trying to recreate his volleys. He'd be worth about five billion pounds now.

Mark Hughes will always be a United legend.

Leslie Hughes, not so much.

This.

I completely disassociate the player from the man/manager.

One of my earliest footballing heroes.

Monstorous thighs.

Also my childhood hero. The volleys were just something else. I remember celebrating his goal in the 5-1 in the city end.
Seems to be weirdly anti-United now.
But forgive and forget with this one.

Also, while he was a great player I always thought McClair was arguably the better centre forward?

Choccy was always underrated and I think people would view him differently if he hadn't £#%&!ed off to Motherwell at his peak in '98

He doesn’t really mean it.

Bunks is right though he’s just a bit of a weird @#%&! but he was a sensational player for us. He’s in the Scholes category of building a persona during his career as a player around being the silent man who then never £#%&!ing shut up when he retired.

Didn't like either of them. Hughes didn't get enough goals and McClair was teachers pet.

Come at me bros

Unpopular opinion : didn't like McClair podcast

An under rated player though imo, and never backed out of beef. Rarely injured also

Met in Heaton Park roses vip (superfluous vip info) and confirmed SIRL

Whip is wumming but goals vs Hughes night be interesting, will come back with stats
