Just too young to remember the promotion season, but I know dad took me to a few games.

Exciting times, a young Steve Coppell would be worth a fortune nowadays

Top times, top away kit.

First side I remember, first game was Derby away with the old fella, £#%&! knows why?! Gerry daly scored a pen. Main memory of the Doc is of him hammering Fergie on Piccadilly radio, in the late 80s. Honestly reckon he believed he'd get the job again round that time

Still shocked he won the cup and we never saw him again.

The berties missed a trick by not snapping him up. Went to Derby next I think?

I blubbed too - just after we had blown the league as well

Bobby Stokes died (relatively) young and in poverty, if that makes anybody feel better.

had a great rapport with the fans, The Doc. "Tommy Tommy give us a wave Cavanagh" too.

Stret in its heyday.

too young to have seen his teams, but i do remember he always seemed to be a rent-a-quote to have a go at fergie during the rare occasions we got beat in the 90s.

I can't remember the year exactly, I think it was around 77. My dad got tickets for the derby from Adrian Heath of Stoke City at the time. About 10min from OT it came over the radio that the game was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
Heath got us into the stadium anyway and we had dinner in the players lounge. I got a few autographs that day, Macari, Stepney etc. Love the Doc

He did come across like that, doesn't mean his actual era wasn't brilliant though
