The spooky one going through my head at the mo' is Leeds (!) losing to then third-tier Cardiff in the FA Cup third round eight years ago....
They were TOP of the Premiership at the time And the rest, as they say, is history. Ah well, if this is indeed the start of the big dip, it was pretty good whilst it lasted, eh?? |

tbf when busby retired in 1969, he did so without really rebuilding what was then an ageing team. when fergie goes there's a good chance he'll have established another generation of players before leaving someone else to take up the reins. i don't think he'd leave a squad that was close to burning out.
