Welbeck always does well for England, what's Sterling ever done?

Don't know why everyone is so surprised.

It's England fans. There always looking for a potential scapegoat and it's usually a Utd player :shakehead:

Welbeck has scored 8 goals for England since Hodgson took over. Only Rooney has scored more. But try telling that to the ABU spackers.

8 goals in 21 games (7 as sub). His record for England is very good. England fans just love to have a go at United going back to '98, dont really remember it before then.

Rooney has 38 in 89 games and will probably end his career as Englands highest all time goal scorer yet he is still a largely hated figure among England fans.

Thing is it is also driven by United fans. Wellbeck is considered not good enough for United by many United fans, Rooney divides United fans, Cleverly, Young, Carrick, Jones, Smalling all have a lot of critics among United fans too.

I hope Peru win so I can laugh at the soccer AM types who think England are going to win the world cup.

Gerrard-Henderson midfield is a liability, especially with slow centre-backs. So much space in front of the back four.

One of the worst England teams I can remember this.

Don't rate any of the back four, awful central mid. They're going to get thumped.

England will lose handily to both Italy and Uruguay imo.

It's a Roy Hodgson side.

Yep, he sets his sides up in a similar way to Moyes, awful stuff. England have some good players, if they had a good coach they would have been a threat at the world cup.

And an approach that suggests they're going to allow other teams the initiative in Brazil.

Midfield should be Carrick-Barkley-Wilshere. This pairing will cost them badly against better sides. They can hype Peru up all they want but their away record over the last 15 years is diabolical. Not to mention they're without Pizarro, Farfan, Vargas and Guerrero.
