Default So these other things happened during the derby...

Jason Roberts scored the winner for Blackburn and then put on a world-class display of arse-seeing, refusing to celebrate with his teammates and being equally stroppy at the final whistle, all presumably because he hasn't been getting a game. If some Johnny Foreigner had done it, or God forbid Wayne, it would be the top story for a week.

Joey Barton punched Morten Gamst Pederson in the chest. The cameras caught him and he'll surely face a ban, but will anyone notice that Gamst asked for it with a cheeky elbow seconds beforehand?

Hardly a 'cheeky elbow' grimmers, more of a why should move my body for you...

Don't think it warranted a right hook!

it was hardly a right hook, it was just a slap in to his chest.
Pedersen should be embarrassed when he see's the replay

Why should he? He went down in order to highlight the fact he had been punched (slap my arse! Did I say it was a good punch?) and ensure Newcastle rightfully went down to 10 men!

As it happens the red or Lino didn't see it so no action taken

To actually believe that were you to walk up to Pedersen in the street and dig him he would react similarly is bonkers

no you said right hook but Pedersen is a highly trained athlete who acted like a big girl.....fancy going down after getting a slap to the chest.

Barton gets bad press from his past demeanours and Pedersen was using this to get him sent off. Poor form in my eyes. in fact I think he is a @#%&! for doing it

David Bentley (when at Blackburn) once told me that they (the Blackburn team) all hated Pederson.

True story.

The whole team were out for Bellamy's stag do. Pederson was probably their best player at the time so I asked Bentley where he was. He simply said "none of us like him, he's a dick".

I was too busy laughing to get him to elaborate.

Barton punched him end of, whatever the punch was (it was a right hook btw.. Right hand and a hook/cross it wasn't a jab or an uppercut was it!?) doesn't matter! He should have been sent off, and Pedersen did what any utd player would do

Were you saying the same in Moscow??

I just think because it was Barton, Pedersen made a meal of it and Lee Dixon has a bit of beef with Barton and obviosuly used his position within the media to have a pop.

Pedersen put the shoulder on him he deserved a slap....we are all men its just a shame some act like fannys

I know what you are saying, but Pedersen was being a professional, playing the 'game' if you will.

Don't see this 'elbow' though tbh, Barton was running past him and Pedersen simply didn't move out if the way.

Done to wind Barton up, it succeeded, Barton snapped and should have been sent off! If he had been then Pedersen would have done a good job

I don't like it but it goes on in every game, 'gamesmanship'

As I said, our players do it see CL final!

punch. it was an agressive push at best. joey barton is a scumbag, but even a yellow for that would have been ridiculous.

i would have booked pederson for diving.

How often have United, Chelsea and Arsenal lost on the same day in the same time?
