Arsenal look blunt, but the state of their bench is ridiculous today. Bar Codes look quite good considering the amount of players in the XI that were in the squad that were relegated.

Wonder if Wenger saw that. Arsenal players don't jump in with tackles remember.

What's so ridiculous about it, half fit Van Persie and an Arshavin that really couldn't give a £#%&! less is nothing extraordinary.

And they were pretty shit vs West Ham too, just watched the last few mins of this and not surprised its been the same.

van Persie, half fit or not, is a superb player. A monumental @#%&!, but exceptional talent. Arshavin, Rosicky, Eboue & Bendtner are comfortably good enough to get in all but 6 sides in the league as well. If Arsenal had their first choice XI week in week out they'd be far more dangerous, it's their own failing that they rely on van Persie & Fabregas so heavily & van Persie is out for at least 2/3 months every season without fail.

They'll always fall at the same hurdles though until they pay off the debt & Wenger is allowed to spend, Fabregas will be gone by then so they'll take a few steps back.

Considering they still have no Diaby or Vermaelen i'd say it's fairly impressive.

Mr Angry.

got the Rome derby on instead, bored shitless watching the other one.

& Saffers, there's not another manager in the league who could spend the money Wenger has & always finish top 4. At least 16 or so more sides have a higher net spend than they do since the decision to move grounds took place, they have (happily imo) decided against taking massive risks on expensive players & gone for a short term prudent approach until they can spend the money that would usually go on interest/debt on players.

Still got a high wage bill, no trophies etc but basically they couldn't give a £#%&! for the 7 years or so that they had their business plan laid out for this. It's staggering that people call them on it, all they need is CL qualification each year til they are out of debt & then they'll generate piles of cash to do as they please. Not a difficult one to see, they'll be set for decades that way as opposed to being on the brink if they went out & spend fortunes chasing some unrealistic targets.

He hasn't been working on this shoestring budget people claim he has though. And I didn't criticise him for not spending more, just the way he handles an already pretty good squad. Questions have to be asked tbh, why hasn't the manager eradicated the same failings we see every season from Arsenal. They love to hide behind an injury or two, like that is the sole reason for loads of @#%&! displays all season long. And that's before even mentioning him not bothering to sign a goalkeeper.

Cost us £2m to sign Edwin Van Der sar. #justsaying

Good manager, less good coach? Funnily the opposite of Benitez. Merge the two and you'd have a super manager like Mourinho/Sir Alex.

Everyone calls them on the 'keeper thing, even the media, even those @#%&!s on the Sunday Supplement who are usually seen sporting Wengers ringpiece as a mustache.

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/leag...2003-2011.html

Arsenal are 19th on that list for the last 8 seasons over all, having spent the same amount as Aston Villa, & recouping more, & always finish where they need to for the time being. No one gives a £#%&! about Arsenal, but imo they will in 3 or so years when they have zero debt & tens of millions to spend, Wenger isn't going anywhere, would be interesting to see if he spends on the handful of players they really need when he can.

what a bunch of shithouses the arsenal team are. newcastle have adopted a style of "look quite menacing when you go for the ball" and arsenal have pulled out of nearly every tackle i've seen.
