Since Lampard stopped playing, funnily enough.

I'd have Lampard at United in a heartbeat, exactly what we need

I'm not saying they *will* drop points in their next few games - but it is certainly not out of the question
Exactly, they beat fulham at home thanks to an Essien goal, but fulham had plenty of chances to get a point at least.

I'm going to say the same thing i said back in august:

We should not concern ourselves with what Chelsea are doing. We ARE NOT going to win the league, don't sit there every weekend expecting them to drop points because you'll end up disappointed.

Until WE get our squad operating at full tilt, get our best players back actually playing anything resembling decent - then we can forget about overhauling them.

At this rate, they're going to win the league at a canter, whilst we end up drawing about 15 £#%&!ing games.

Chelsea v Today's Top 10 (1 home, 3 away)
P4 W1 D1 L2 F2 A5

Chelsea v Bottom 10 (5 home, 3 away)
P8 W8 D0 L0 F25 A2

The old adage that trophies aren't handed out at Christmas rings true

United v Top 10 (3 HOME, 3 AWAY)
P6 W3 D3 L0 F10 A4

United v Bottom 10 (3 HOME, 3 AWAY)
P6 W3 D3 L0 F14 A9

We've had 3 of the same fixture

West Brom H
City A
Wolves H

Of those, Chelsea have taken 6 points, we've taken 5. We play at Villa on Saturday so that will be 4 identical fixtures. They took 7 from those 4 games. Hopefully we will have taken 8 from them.
So, although nice to be sitting pretty at the top of the league, Chelsea's position is very flattering and I reckon it's about honours even at the moment.

I wouldn't go that far. Gerrard is more like Ince. His best position should have been a holding midfield player, but he sees his role as some kind of Roy of the Rovers role - EVERY GAME. He has never bothered to learn the tactical nuances of the role, or hone the patience and experience for it because he wants the headlines and plaudits for scoring and doing the Napoli type games, even though they only happen a few times a season. Half the rest of the games, he's average at best - especially against a disciplined side who don't lose their shape.

Lampard does what he does because that's all he can do. Yeh, he scores goals, but he's not much good at the deep lying Scholes role or a Keane anchorman. He's good at getting in the box and being in the right time at the right place, as well as a good striker of the ball so he takes long range shots. Doing what you're good at and doing it well isn't really being egotistical.

United are crying out for a midfielder who joins in with the attacks. We looked far better on Wednesday when Fletcher and Carrick went beyond the ball a couple of times at the start of the second half. We don't have any players who do that nearly enough.
