I'm not sure it's of much relevance to coaching youth, but Jonathan Wilson does some good articles on tactics. http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/jonathanwilson he also wrote a book called Inverting the Pyramid.
I'd say to really work on their touch and movement as most English players struggle in those areas; get them to want the ball, not be afraid to keep it in tough areas. |
