Why?

We’re not good enough to win the big trophies so why not wait until the summer where the business should be done anyway.

We’ll drop points before City but even then, you can’t trust this lot.

It's what we should have done. Shaw, Darmian, young, Smalling, Jones should all be gone, Valencia should be marginalised instead of being our £#%&!ing captain and we should have Perisic.
But we’re run as a football club and they’re laundering money for despotic regimes; there’s a difference. They probably want players to fail so they can park some more blood money.

Mou bigging Fellaini up saying he's been injured for weeks and only came back to training yesterday and put his hand up to play

Digging Pogba out with those comments too?

Except that exactly that approach DOES seem to be working for the oil-doped clubs.

Thumbs down

Ugh.

It’s sad that it is exactly what is expected when you watch United these days.

Yeah, and what an inspired sub it was. Only thing that cameo was missing was a red.

Oh and I know why. It just is what it is.

And it's not that I want Perisic. The point is our manager did and we didn't get him because we wouldn't pay what he cost.

Again, doesn't mean we have to or that it's right...but it's the difference between us and city and why they are currently above our level.

There were players Guardiola wanted and didn’t get though... difference is he’s actually getting a £#%&!ing game out of the ones he was stuck with.

City having a bottomless pit of cash does not excuse the football Utd play. Does not force us to play hoofball to Lukaku and Fellaini either.

Well he came closer to setting up Babayoko than Mikhitaryan has to setting up Lukaku that’s for damn sure.

Perisic isn't the difference between United and city. City wouldn't look at average no marks like him twice and neither should United. That's why they're currently miles better.

Not at all, no.

Scandalous that our plan b is sticking it to that awful bastard - who is in to his fifth season at our club. The same number as Eric Cantona.

The comparison with City is £#%&!ing pointless btw. The difference in intent is palpable. Intent in the market, ensuring they get the best young talent available wherever possible and stockpile it; intent on the pitch, they are sent out to work hard, play football in the manner they all thrive in, charged with scoring as many as possible, nothing else matters, it honestly looks like all the coaching they receive is based on movement, use of the ball and attacking. Nothing else. Their first attack today they broke and by the time an attempt on goal was had, there were 6 City players in the Arsenal box. Complete opposite of our current manager.

From this point, barring intervention by UEFA or a gargantuan implosion, it only gets worse. United can’t and won’t compete, and aren’t savvy enough to make up the difference with shrewd planning and good management. We’re £#%&!ing miles away.

Not the point I'm making. I'm talking about how easily they'll spend. Well spend, but we'll cut corners where we can.. such as one of the managers four signings. That's a big difference. They get who theu want with the minimum of fuss.

You're right about that. This is what happens when a poorly run football club employs 4 different managers in as many years.
