Football We've come a long long way.....

Half way through his first season....

That midweek game £#%&!ed us....

Toe to toe with the league's best, beating them and getting done at the end like today ..

Right track reds...

Keep the faith

Agree Bunks. Top 4 and a cup. Go from there.

yep! give us Case and we’d win today

nice to be involved at the top. new owners, more signings and we’ll be winning the league soon enough

tbh i’d rather arsenal have 3 points and win the league than us have one and the bertie’s win it again

If we sign Rice and a decent centre forward in the summer then we win the league next season.

I think there can be little doubt we're heading in the right direction and at a much quicker pace than anyone expected. The giddiness of the City win after the run we'd been on is what makes these last two results so gutting.

So many positives, and it's so clear where we need to improve. Today sort of resets the expectations back to where they were. Top 4 and hopefully a trophy. Strengthen in the summer (hopefully with new owners) and we'll be in a very good position.

Erik is clearly the man, which softens the blow.

Some things to work on:

Ball retention is an issue, particularly in the second half of matches when the team needs to slow the game down.

Linked to the above, playing out from the back will always be poor with this keeper.

No real depth upfront, or proper cover for Bruno. Don't create enough chances.

Need to play the reserves in the Europa, prioritise the league. Think we'll get third if we avoid bad injuries.

Anyone criticising ETH needs their head checked. Even for today. We don’t have the CM depth to being on . Fred is ok . But not good enough . Give him a few windows . New owners , just need to fight back with a. Big result.

Completely agree. Thought today would be a step too far for us, but it doesn’t change anything about where we’re heading. Title talk was fanciful, but if you told me we’d come out of this spell after the World Cup still comfortably in the top four with a derby win to brag about, I’d take it.

Confident we’ll get top four, which I didn’t think was realistic at the start of the season.

I expect us to react too. Get on a good run again and cement that top four. Both Arsenal and city fixtures out of the way is big.

We've come a long way, but still have a fair distance to go.

Until we actually win something, memories of Ole's false dawn will still linger.

Ten Hags game management was a disaster, but small adjustments. Actually not a million miles away

that winning goal was of course a kick in the balls, but today we took the fight to them. we responded to going 1-0 and then 2-1 down rather than just allowing them to batter us as we'd have done in previous seasons. in the end it wasn't to be, but in perspective there's no shame in losing narrowly to the clear league leaders and scoring two against them.

today did however show that we're not quite up there yet and there is still work to be done, but it's a game by game process and we're getting there. 2nd/3rd is definitely the level of this current team.

Wouldn’t go that far but he got it wrong today. Fred on for Erikson and Garnach for Antony much earlier.

But it’s fine margins away at the likely champions. It’s night and day from what we’ve been used to.

We go away from home to ‘big 6’ and actually have a go and try and attack now, not like the last few years under Ole.

We’re on the right course

Exactly. Erik will still want a new starting striker, midfielder and probably a left back, and needs a back up right back, right centre back, DM and a striker.

Huge strides have been made though. You were right - this bald £#%&!er is the one.

We’ve certainly come along way and before the start of the week we dared to dream but we all knew we’re not close to being title winners yet

That being said ETH has to force these players to be brave 2nd half away from home and keep the ball instead of constantly playing hopeful long balls

He’s gotten most things right but ETH has got to stop this %@#$&!s of playing Bruno on the right wing
He is utter gash there and is a liability defensively
Cost us the winner today as AWB was 2v1 because Bruno wasn’t doing his job

Spot on BB

ETH can only ice what he has at his disposal. Our squad is weak.

Like a tailor for cockney beanstalk dwellers, we are making giant strides.
