Wouldn't surprise me if he spits his dummy out again this summer.

hindsight is great. To think some of the top reds were comparing rooney to ronaldo

if we could get 50m+ for him it would be the best thing to happen to the club for a long time.

You mean when they were younger and playing to a similar standard?

If chelsea offer 30m for rooney, we should snap their £#%&!ing hands off

About £40 million would disappear on debt. A spectacular @#%&! nqat, but he's the best player at the club by a £#%&!ing mile, not to mention our only reliable striker.

Summed up nicely last week, at 4-3 he came back and had a go at the defence/midfield and told them to "sort it out"

Had a good season, i'm not his biggest fans but one of the real positives we've had this year is the Welbeck/Rooney partnership.

rooneys not the problem, its too many square pegs in round holes, and when i say square pegs i mean not good enough midfielders, Fergies consistently plays Park in the big games, and bar one or maybe two occasions its not worked.

Rooney was never as good as ronaldo... He never had the raw ingredients that ronaldo had.

Cleverley is our best player.

if we lose rooney it would send out a terrible statement.

hes our best player, our number 4 goalscorer of all time, our talisman and not to mention his astronomical commerical value as well, on the front of every FIFA game etc.

shut up.

with the current situation, that would mean we got 30million for one of our best players, with the money absorbed in to the club and we'd see a return for a new player of around £15m. basically, what happened with ronaldo.... £80m and we've not seen the appropriate re-investment. our finances are a black hole.

Don't see how last night was Rooney's fault. Last week he, Welbeck and Nani tore Everton's defence to pieces and it was the pile of @#%&!s at the back that blew it by forgetting how to play football.

Fergie responded to that by shoving him up front on his own last night, something he has never, ever been any good at. Hardly any strikers are ffs, being marked by two burly centre-halfs is a hiding to nothing and what they need in that situation is players around them providing good support - but last night his support consisted of a rubber-footed Nani and Ji-Sung Bastard £#%&!ing Park.

If we got rid of Rooney it would be the beginning of the end imo. If we buy wisely this year and sort that £#%&!ing shambles of a midfield then he will be back to his best.

He is an easy scapegoat for a lot of people as he is expected to win games on his own, he is not a Messi or Ronaldo.

I disagree. I think he is a very difficult scapegoat as we all know how good he has been. But last half dozen games he has been very poor and overall this season he has been good (ish) rather than great. I would have subbed him last night. no question.

problem with Rooney is that he's either very hot or very cold

and when he's cold he looks shockingly average, obviously yesterday wasn't solely his fault but he didnt help things with his general shoddy play

but as ive always said he needs better quality of players around him to bring out the best in him. we cant expect him to win games on his own.
