Aren't contracts signed by minors deemed to be null and void?

Contact has been made. French bastards.

Quote:
Le Havre president Jean-Pierre Louvel has contacted Fifa about Manchester United's signing of Paul Pogba.

"We have submitted the case to Fifa. The letter to leave has not been agreed by the French Federation, so today Fifa has been referred.

"I hope we will get the same result (as the Gaël Kakuta case), which could justify to those clubs they can't do anything and they have rules to respect."

Interesting that they didn't submit a case until they heard about the Kakuta stuff, clearly it's out of desperation. If Pogba had some sort of contract with them similar to the one Chelsea made Kakuta break then they'd have reported us a long time ago.

Le Havre made similar noises when Newcastle took Nzogbia from them a few years back and nothing happened.

So, Le Havre are all up in arms about us taking someone that they took from another club in the first place.

Torcy say that Le Havre 'stole' Pogba from them and they are still in discussion for compensation.

Torcy are really pissed off with Le Havre and basically wish Pogba all the best at United. Top reds.
Exactly, loads of hypocrisy and double standards, little club gets arse £#%&!ed by small club, who get butt £#%&!ed by big club who then get slam dunked by real madrid..

Interesting. He couldn't sign a contract in Italy though could he, so how could we induce him to break one?

We need to sign as many of these foreign youngsters as we can, it won't be long until they figure a way to ban us from signing anyone under the age of 18 that hasn't been registered and lived at a house in a Manchester postcode hos whole life.

Even if we did induce a player to break his contract which it doesn't seem we did I seem to remember the head of FIFA claiming that no player can be held in a contract he doesn't want to be in and said it was like slavery.

From another forum, I don't have the direct link to the source though

Quote:
The agent of Paul Pogba insists the youngster's move to Manchester United is "watertight".

Gaël Mahé, Pogba’s agent, said: “No money had changed hands up front, though Paul will get a very good contract when he turns professional. All he has from United is a flat in Manchester for him and his mother to live in.

"The problem is that there are three things Le Havre do not have. They do not have a contract aspirant, they do not have convention of formation and they do not have a late-trigger contract. All they have is a contract of non-solicitation, which is invalid outside France.

“We spent a long time ensuring that the document we signed with Manchester United was legally watertight.”
