Thumbs down BBC Football page today

Three of the four top stories today (at least on the mobile app) are related to women's football. One story about an England player being ill, one about England's 'poster girls' and the final story is regarding Chelsea's latest signing.

It's all a bit much and a bit PC in my book from the Beeb.

Women can play football, we get it...

I said it in a thread the other day - the BBC Sport website has gone to shit. Completely disproportionate coverage of "minority" sports like you mentioned, clickbait headlines and a ridiculous amount of articles based on what somebody said on Twitter.

I could understand it if people actually cared about the latest Chelsea signing but they don't. The women's World Cup has gone and will be forgotten in no time at all.

On the one hand, I applaud it. Especially if the female players are hot, right guys?!

Season is over. Women's football needs promoting.

It was a euphemism for 'me time'.

I could use three hands to be honest. Right lads?!

Women's football is £#%&!ing shit and I bet it's a matter of time before MOTD has to have a section covering it on its main Saturday program same for sky and BT

Assistant referee that's when the rot set in:shakehead:

End of the day, women who are interested in football generally like it for the same reason as the men who watch it. I.e. to watch the best players, who are all men.

Women's football is a novelty

Phwaor....... nice scrum shots

BBC have always been PC dicks. Listening to the Reds on the radio pre-Internet days with a commentary on a title decider/ cup sf and they'd interrupt with "over to Love St where St Mirren have just added another..." Then instead of going back to the match you'd get John Inverdale with a report from S Africa on the £#%&!ing golf theyd just leave the match and you wouldn't know the final score until they'd done further coverage of a vital cricket match (oxymoron) between India and N Zealand

A British record fee. Huge signing. Was all over sky.

Didn't see a report of the actual fee. No idea why.

If we had the footy equivalent of the negro leagues from baseball, the bbc would show it first on MOTD.

They've been doing it since i was a kid, when they had some gremlin in a wheelchair on grange hill.
