Shame to see the resentment despite him having delivered the biggest trophy and highest league position since Fergie. Modern fans
No resentment from me Siders. Just pointing out that he didn’t do so well in Europe.

Loved that FA Cup win though

They'll all continue to improve though. Sanchez would hopefully add some consistency in terms of performance levels
The production from Rashford/Martial/Lingard/Pogba looks good purely through numbers;

Rashford, 9 goals, 8 assists in 34 games
Pogba, 3 goals, 13 assists in 19 games
Martial, 10 goals, 10 assists in 31 games
Lingard 11 goals, 5 assists in 28 games

Those are solid numbers and you have to take into account that Rashford, Martial and Lingard have rotated, came off the bench a lot. You are not wrong to say they have been inconsistent though. As Siders says there is no midtable, means a lot of dross to pad the stats against, and for the teams at the top of the table not much competition at all. Makes these comparison against previous seasons worth very little.

Sanchez's stats? 9 goals and 3 assists in 27 games, would be our least productive attacker.

I dunno. When it’s said that he needs to challenge for league next year, I’m expecting responses along the lines of “course he will; we will be flying by then” etc. Yet it’s just excuses and cheap shots at his footballing father.

Suggests that the confidence in José may not run as deep as portrayed; that there’s uncertainty there

Well, technically, we are challenging for the league right now

Our current points average would see us finish six points behind Chelsea last season btw.
So by challenging you mean winning it.

Sanchez hasn’t been arsed.

The latest absolute £#%&! up by Arsenal. Guess they thought in a World Cup year he’d do a Suárez and give his all, maybe firing them to top four. Instead Chile got knocked out, he’s often downed tools, the Arsenal players hate him and if he doesn’t go this January they’ve lost out on £50m and paid his wages for a year for no return.

And their board will still believe Wenger is a money maker.

It is at the stage where I am not even sure a change of manager can do the trick for them. Could change the atmosphere around the club, which is utterly toxic but there is so little remaining to build around. Says something that Wilshere is back to being their touchstone.

Sanchez at Utd, either going to be short term spectacular success or a meltdown. Should be entertaining either way.

Their squad without Sanchez and Ozil is utterly dreadful.

Need a huge overhaul. Few fans I know want Simeone purely because they think he can impose himself and rebuild a team quickly, however ugly it could be.

Arsenal not the prospect they were for a manager are they? Would Simeone take it? Would surely want guarantees on investment and a massive initial push.

If they changed now he’d get the kind of money he’d need.

But apparently they are giving Wenger a shitload to spend now and in the summer. Can’t go wrong.

2nd place behind this ridiculous city side, on course to comfortably seal top four, after winning two trophies in his first season including a european cup, but a smattering of bad results this season and people think jose isn't cut out for the job. and then there are those who talk like we've been just as bad as moyes and van gaal under him.

it's blatantly obvious that he has improved us a lot. as low as our standards may have dropped over the past four or five years but this is the best we have been since fergie. he is the man for the job.

and we will win number 21 under him. nfqat.

Tbf, the tears caused by our worst ever showing in the champions league were quickly overcome when I imagined what it must have been like to be a Barca fan in 1998. The stuff (literally) of dreams.

Am genuinely happy for him tbf

Almost as if it may have been our injury ravaged squad that was the real issue.
