Thumbs up

As said above, three brilliant keepers. VDS for me.

Van Der Sar for me though. Obviously Dave is a paranormally good shot stopper and Schmeichel was simply a giant green brick wall, but Edwin was always the one I would trust not to make an error.

Loved his temperament too, never got flustered and helped maintain calm in our defence when it came on top.

Correct.

Steady Eddy #2, DDG young enough that he could end up top of the pile.

Peak Shmeichs was another level. Denmark winning the Euros was like Portugal doing the same. Teams led by bone fide winners 🙂

(Heard the fella is a bit of a whopper though...)

By a distance is %@#$&!s though tbf. They're all very £#%&!ing good, and have major strengths in different areas. I just think Dave is next level to anything we've seen before- he's a madness with some of the stuff he pulls off. A keeper's main job is keeping the ball out of the net, and he's the best at that. Plus he has a lovely hot tub in his gaff.

I've supported United since 1987

Schmeichel is by far the greatest! One of the goalkeeping greats

Wished we signed Van Der Sar in 1999. Top keeper

De Gea can be a legend for us if he stays into his 30's. World class no question

I have owned approx 14 manchester united replica tops.

And it is my opinion that the latest increase in fuel tax is fiscally irresponsible.

Not even Harry Gregg's mum would claim he was better than Schmeichel, De Gea or VDS. The Dane the best for me.

Was going to ask a similar question, was he even regarded better than Stepney?

I think that you're probably right about Harry Gregg to be honest.

I'm not saying that he wasn't a good keeper, i'm sure he was, but I think that the generation before mine, possibly remember him more for his bravery at Munich, where he managed to free himself and then went on to pull other passengers to safety off the burning plane.
