"Let me put it this way, me and the manager were perhaps not on the same page last season. For most the season at least," says Daniel Agger in an exclusive interview with TV3 SPORT.

"He and I maybe went wrong with each other because I am very direct. I say things as they are, so I expect people will be the same to me. Maybe it's wrong to expect this sometimes."

"There was much (distance) between us, and for me it was just enough. I felt that he didn't appreciate the things I could and contributed. When I feel that, then it's time to move on.

Agger claims that his frustration began to grow when he expected to be dropped even if he thought he had played well.

“When you are a part of the starting eleven for several games in a row and the team have performed well, and you feel that you have played well, then you are left out of the team and don’t feel appreciated, it starts to get pray on your mind and you wonder.

“Then at the same time you see the statistics from your game - which are so important all around the world of football- and you don’t understand why you weren’t used more often.”

yesterday, when Gerrard scores, Brendan turns to the crowd, chin forward, arms outstretched like the statue of Christ the Redeemer, as if saying to the crowd "That's what you get from Brendan you lucky people"

Utter fraud

Always presumed it was because of 1989, Michael Thomas etc.

Anyway, always good to give it a watch. Dalglish's face.

Where does this idea that Balotelli is world class come from?

he's talented, enigmatic at best, but he hasn't been remotely consistent enough at any club he's been at to deserve that kind of praise. He's capable of classy moments from time to time, but that doesn't equate to world class talent ffs.

All the hype around him usually centres around what a 'character' he is.

His scoring rate at Milan was pretty good, 30 in 50 odd games isn't bad going. When he feels like it he can be unplayable, but when he doesn't he's worse than useless.
