Interesting, that Neo - worth a separate poll thread in its own right. Which of the goals that night had the biggest emotional impact?

Sheringham's was sheer, utter relief for me. Solskjaer's was pure, unadulterated ecstasy - we'd won it, and the Treble.

No tears but both goals had me and me brother screaming, literally.

Same here although I was 9. From dancing with joy around the living room after the equaliser to bawling my eyes out in about a minute.

Oh really? I must ask him about this on Sunday

Also 50th Anniversary of Munich I was in a packed pub in Liverpool Street and nobody said a word, moved or poured a drink in the minute's silence. Choked me right up

Bobby bloody Stokoe scoring the winner against us in 76

Stuart Pearson's goal v Dippers in 77

Some game where Lou Macari scored a home winner right at the death - must have been around 77 or 78.

Emotional when we did the 99 treble.

Only a few, but Very different kinds of cries.

So let's go through them

Moscow:

Fergie retiring:

And not strictly tears, but purely stunned. A stunned pain that transcends tears.

Me and my Dad. Aguero 2012:

When Moyes was hired:

When we won the league in '93. Seemed like my whole life had been geared to that moment, still have it down as the best night of my life.

Lone piper (for Busby) had me going a bit but I blamed it on the onion in my pocket.

Literally never cried over football. When it's been so bad (Aguero) I was numb and when it's so good I'm too busy gooning my head off.

Never cried tears of sadness. Bad results just leave me shell shocked/angry as £#%&!.

The only tears of joy were both CL wins.
The overwhelming nature of 99' (I didn't "cry" immediately. It was an hour or so after the final whistle. I suddenly felt really emotional. Like all the stress from those 10 days coupled with the magnitude of the achievement hitting home)

2008, was a Ronnie style response to the Pen save. I just broke down! - albeit after a good few minutes of going absolutely £#%&!ing apeshit.
Then, there was a tear in the eye again when Bobby lead the lads up to collect the trophy.
There's just something about the European Cup that affects me more emotionally. Dunno why tbh

Corny as £#%&! but they really are cherished memories.
Our CL wins were both insane!
I'd love us to win one 2-0 or something. Incident/stress free

Emotional when we did the 99 treble.

Bob Stokoe = ex-Sunderland boss beat lids in '73? Final. Memory fading jezzer.

Bobby Stokes scored offside goal in 76 cup final - yep, shed a tear as well. Thought we'd finally win a first trophy since 68.

Also what after George died

Ditto Sir Matt vs toffees

Only game I've cried over was when West Ham beat us at OT in the 86 FA cup for some reason.
