Angry Real doing it again: Rooney this time.

(1) Denying any interest is their first step.

Quote:
1347 GMT: Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano has dismissed reports linking Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney with a move to the Bernabeu. (Radio COPE)

Valdono said: "Rooney is English, we all know they find it difficult to adapt to another type of competition other than the Premier League. He is a very interesting player but we have not ever been interested."
(2) The player then commits his long-term future to his existing club.

Quote:
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has pledged his future to the club after being linked to Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
Full story: The Sun
(3) Have we had a "He's not for sale at any price/I wouldn't sell them a virus" comment from Fergie yet?

(4) Expect a bust-up and "I want out" claims from Rooney shortly afterwards.

(5) A major offer will be made public, club will say i"t's too good to turn down and the player wanted to go anyway"

Don't laugh, it's how they got Figo, Zidane, Fat Ronaldo, Beckham, CR7 Ronaldo, Kaka....

[I've left room for the edits of each stage until part 5 in August]

To be fair they never insulted Ronaldo on the basis of his nationality (even if it has some truth in it), that would be one significant difference. I don't think they believe they can get him.

If you think Rooney would go to Madrid you need your head testing

Tatlock's ton is still on offer if you want it.

If he goes this january or in the summer you collect. If not you give uncle Albert 100 English pounds sterling.

are we on ?

There is more chance of Koppas becoming a homicide detective in Baltimore within the next year than there is of Wayne Rooney joining Real Madrid.

There is a slight difference here, folks:

Ronaldo was DESPERATE to join them, as we all know it was his "dream"

Rooney, erm, isn't. And we aren't going to sell him against his will, whatever Uncle Malc might ideally wish........

Hth and nft.

If it was Barcelona, I wouldn't begrudge him a move at some stage in his career if he wanted it.

I'd wanna play for them and so would all you £#%&!ers.

So you wouldn't wanna play for Barcelona at some point in your career if you'd won everythin you could at United?

No, I'd put in a stint for Blackpool or Preston. Give something back to the lesser clubs in the locale where I grew up, stick 5,000 on the gate every week, help them to a cup final and or/promotion to the top flight and sign off as a local hero.
The sort of thing Beckham should have done/should do at Orient if he had an ounce of humility.
Then I can sit on a beach in a hot country and go the Nou Camp whenever I please.
