Exclamation Manchester United v Bournemouth - 17.05.2016

TUE, 17 May 2016
Premier League

20:00
Venue: Old Trafford

TEAM NEWS

Quote:
Manchester United defenders Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian are injury doubts after missing Sunday's original game, which was abandoned after a bomb scare.

Adnan Januzaj is out with a hamstring injury, Marouane Fellaini is banned, while Bastian Schweinsteiger and Luke Shaw are still injured.
Bournemouth had no new injury problems before Sunday, but manager Eddie Howe rotated his squad with five changes.

Defenders Sylvain Distin (back) and Adam Smith (hernia) remain out.
Both clubs will be allowed to name different sides for the rearranged Premier League game at Old Trafford.

There'll be a £#%&! load of empty seats tonight. I've got our work exec tickets for tonight and found it hard to shift a couple of them for free

Ogden in the telegraph says the lineup will be the same as Saturday, which seems strange considering the circumstances.

We should start a mass brawl, get a point deduction & miss out on the Europa.

Is the protocol different for an abandoned game rather than a postponed game?
Maybe you have to stick with the same starting 11 unless their is an injury

Didn't Real or Barca have a game abandoned with about 5 minutes left once, and they were forced to play the last 5 minutes at a later date. I'm sure they were getting beat at the time of the abandonment and ended up winning or something like that.

Oh £#%&! knows, if we get an injury tonight in a meaningless game he wants shooting. I'd make 11 changes tonight and rest everyone.

Are we allowed to hope we lose this one, given it's no more important than a friendly?

Would be gutted for Moses but delighted for Saffers.

Paul wayward in the Grauniad points out that if united keep a clean sheet they'll have the best defensive record in the league and DDG will win the 'golden gloves'. Why anyone should give a shit about that beats me, but, y'know, who's more stupid - the idiot who gets paid to write that crap or the idiots or read it?
